In the office the most important cultural and scientific collections of Podlasie are digitalized. The purchased equipment (scanners, computers, digital cameras) allows to archive the most valuable collections of institutions belonging to the Consortium of Scientific Libraries of Białystok on durable media. 
The Consortium comprises: the National Archive in Białystok; the Library of Archidiocesial Seminary in Białystok; the Pedagogical Library in Białystok; the Library of Białystok Technical University, the Library of Medical University in Białystok; the Library of Fredric Chopin's Musical University; the Instrumental and Pedagogical Department in Białystok; the Borderland Fundation in Sejny; Łukasz Górnicki's Podlaska Library; the 'Collegium Suprasliense' Cultural Association. 
The equipment had been placed in a work space of 74,38 m2, a part of the University Library Special Collections Reading Room. The digitalized documents are made available on the Internet, in accordance with the existing copyright.
